Web Slices are an easy way to stay connected to your most updated information whenever you are online. Our Web Slices are now available from every city page and allow you to view current weather conditions right from your Internet Explorer 8. Please note: Web Slices are only compatible with those systems running Internet Explorer 8.
A green Web Slices icon will appear in the upper-right hand corner of the browser when you mouse over the current conditions. Click on this icon to easily subscribe and add The Weather Network to the Favorites Bar so you can keep track of that cityís local weather.
How do I find the complete forecast for my city from the Web Slice? There is a "View Full Forecast" button conveniently located on your web slice. Click on this button and it will link you to the cityís complete forecast.
You can add as many city locations as you like; simply browse to each city page you are interested in and go through the "Add Web Slice" process as outlined in Question #2. Multiple cities will be indicated by the city name in your browser bar.
The Web Slice will indicate that there is a warning for your area with a red bar highlighting the affected areas conditions. You can click on the bar to get more in-depth coverage on the alert.
You must be connected to the internet to get updated data through your Web Slice. Also, if the connection was broken or delayed while your slice was loading; click on the refresh button on the slice to get the latest information.
If your Web Slice is not working out for you, simply right click on the slice when it is open and click on "Delete". Once confirmed, your slice will be sent to the Recycle Bin on your computer desktop.
