2008: Sheila's Brush storm
On St. Patrick's Day, in the year of 2008, the second of two powerful back-to-back storms roared across the province.
Schools and business across the province were shut down.
In St. John's, even public transit was pulled off the roads.
Fogo Island declared a state of emergency because roads were completely blocked off by snow.
Gander saw 120 cm of snow -- about a quarter of it's average annual snowfall in less than a week.
