Kelsey McEwen, reporter
November 30, 2012 — Winter is settling in across the country -- which means it's time to hit the slopes. Mt. Norquay in Banff, Alberta is the latest ski hill to officially open for the season.

While Mt. Norquay has been partially open since late October, the ski resort will be operating at full capacity this weekend.

Andre Quenneville, Mt. Norquay's general manager says it's been a great start to the season.

There's been a lot of snow this year, and the promise of more to come.

Effective November 30th, Mt. Norquay will be open 7 days a week -- and skiers and snowboarders aren't the only ones who can hit the slopes.

There's also a family fun centre which will debut on December 22nd, complete with a tubing park.

If you have a chance to head down to the Banff National Park you should definitely do so.

Conditions are looking great -- and the weather has been pleasant to boot.
