Calgary's cold weather commute

Kelsey McEwen, reporter
October 4, 2012 — On an average day, you might not give your daily commute much thought. But when the temperature changes, do your transportation habits change as well?

On Monday, Calgary's daytime high was in the twenties, and then a major cool down moved into the region.

By Thursday morning, the temperature had fallen to -6C -- but the people we spoke to didn't seem to mind.

We spotted a large group of commuters braving the cold while waiting for public transit.

Many say they'd rather confront cooler temperatures than some of the city's pricey parking lots.

Luckily, the temperature will rebound just in time for the Thanksgiving long weekend.
