A lynx cub born at the Montreal Biodome has made its first public appearance.

The ten week old male was born in good health at the end of May.

Two other cubs died a few days after birth.

He lives alone with his mother in the Laurentian maple forest habitat.

Reproduction in captivity for the Canadian Lynx is quite rare.

From 1999 to 2009 the average birthrate was fewer than two-per-year in North America. For now this little guy is on display as he begins eating solid food and grows into his paws.
