2010: SW Ontario Storm

Staff writers
December 5, 2012 — Snow squalls locked over southwestern Ontario for several days, beginning December 6, 2010.

The city of London was hit hard.

At one point the entire city came to a halt when the mayor asked residents to stay home from work and school.

The storm system dumped more than 95 cm of snow -- and winter was still two weeks away.

In neighbouring communities, snow totals approached two metres.
