November 9, 2012 — Don't worry, be happy! Take a look at this crater on Mercury, captured by NASA spacecraft.

NASA's image of the day will give you something to smile about.

Peaks of a complex crater on Mercury have formed in a way that resembles a happy face.

The image was captured by NASA's MESSENGER Mercury orbiter.

Since entering the Mercurial orbit in early 2011, the spacecraft has has acquired 88,746 images of the solar system's innermost planet.

NASA plans to acquire an additional 80,000 images of Mercury next year.
