Airline mistakenly ships dog to Ireland

March 16, 2013 — We'd all enjoy a free trip to Ireland but for one dog, the luck of the Irish granted him a free trip he probably did not want.
It was a nightmare all pet owners never want to experience.
Meredith Grant was returning from vacation with her dog Hendrix but when she arrived at the airport, the dog was nowhere to be found.
It turns out there was a mix-up and her beloved pet was sent to Ireland.
The distraught owner was at a loss for words and even her parents' support wasn't enough to console her.
United Airlines is investigating the mix-up and has offered Grant a full refund but she hopes the person responsible for the confusion will be dealt with.
Hendrix arrived home without a problem.
