May 5, 2010 — The roof of BC Place was deflated yesterday. Here's a look at why the event was weather-dependent.
It was a little windy at the start of the day, but by the time Tuesday afternoon rolled around the conditions were ideal for deflating the roof of BC Place in Vancouver.
The marshmallow-like bubble that has helped define the city's skyline will be replaced by a new retractable roof.
