Lucky rider Craig Hardy made the historic trip on a bus heading downtown with Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Calgary Transit Director Doug Morgan.†

"I was actually having a bit of a bad week," said an†ecstatic Hardy. "It was just a really bad week! And today I thoughtÖ you know, itís okay, Iím just going to get up, Iím going to go into the downtown, have a nice stroll around, itís a nice sunny day, Iíll have some lunchÖ and I just jumped on the bus, and here it was!"††

As a result of being the 100-millionth rider, Hardy will be able to ride Calgary transit free for a year.
