Thursday's wet snow and rain will seem like nothing compared to last week's significant snowstorm, but it could still slow down drivers for the evening commute.
"Drivers should plan for some extra time Thursday night, especially those heading out with Valentine's Day plans," says Brian Dillon, a meteorologist at The Weather Network. "An Alberta Clipper will bring a rain/snow mix that could definitely impact the commute in southern Ontario, but snowfall accumulations should remain pretty low."
A trace to 2 cm is expected around the Greater Toronto Area through Friday morning, while areas north of Orangeville could pick up between 5-10 cm of snow.
"Drivers further north will be dealing with system snow combined with the potential for lake effect as well," adds Dillon.
Motorists are urged to adjust their driving habits accordingly.
