Severe thunderstorms that developed in southern Alberta Sunday night prompted Environment Canada to issue a series of watches and warnings.
The warning included the city of Calgary, where heavy rain, strong winds and large hail were reported throughout the night.
One caller to The Weather Network Stormline saw intense hail, which was bouncing off the ground and hitting the windows of their house.
"There was continuous lightning too," said another caller in central Alberta.
While police officials didn't receive any calls out of the ordinary Sunday night, they expect reports of damage to come in once residents are able to check their vehicles and property.
The storms continued to fire up in parts of southern Alberta early Monday morning, prompting another thunderstorm warning for places like Foremost, Orion and Manyberries.
The region can expect to see more storms throughout the day, but they should mostly be non-severe in nature.
