Damaging storms roared across sections of Alberta Monday, prompting a multitude of tornado warnings. Communities like Sundre, Olds and Didsbury were all under the warning, which was issued around 4:30 pm mountain time. No tornadoes have been reported, but very ominous looking clouds were spotted in the area.

In the evening hours, another round of tornado warnings were issued north and east of Edmonton. That warning included Lamont and Beaver counties and funnel clouds were spotted near Tofield. Strong winds downed trees in the area and heavy rain and hail were reported as well.
