Another day, another round of tornado watches and warnings in Alberta.
Severe thunderstorms roared across sections of Alberta Tuesday for the second day in a row. Ominous-looking clouds were reported in communities like Torrington, Airdrie, Crossfield and Bowden.
The city of Calgary also experienced some active weather on Tuesday. Hail came crashing to the ground, sending many of our viewers to upload photos and videos to our Twitter and Facebook pages.
Damaging storms roared across sections of Alberta Monday, prompting a multitude of tornado warnings. Communities like Sundre, Olds and Didsbury were all under the warning, which was issued around 4:30 pm mountain time. No tornadoes have been reported, but very ominous looking clouds were spotted in the area.
In the evening hours, another round of tornado warnings were issued north and east of Edmonton. That warning included Lamont and Beaver counties and funnel clouds were spotted near Tofield. Strong winds downed trees in the area and heavy rain and hail were reported as well.
Storms also rolled through the Edmonton area Monday night.
