April 10, 2010 — The calendar may say it is spring, but you would never know it by looking at North Vancouver's ski hills!
It's mid April but the snow is falling on north Vancouver's Grouse Mountain. After a mild winter that brought a lot of rain and soggy weather, ski hill operators are thrilled to see the snow.
The Weather Network's Oga Nwobosi went to Grouse Mountain to talk to people taking in a late season downhill session.
William Mbaho works at the site. He says Grouse Mountain has received more than 100 centimetres of snow in the past week.
Usually at this time of year, many ski hill operators in north Vancouver are thinking about closing up for the season.
This year however, the ski and snowboarding hills may be open for a few extra weeks.
