Storm rolls into Leduc, Alberta
Hail came crashing to the ground in the Edmonton, Alberta area Thursday, catching some residents by surprise.
The severe thunderstorm rolled over the city in the late afternoon and evening hours, bringing hail the size of quarters to some communities.
Photos flooded into The Weather Network newsroom, looking like snow on lawns in some cases.
The same low pressure system is expected to bring active weather to sections of Saskatchewan and Manitoba on Friday. The area most at risk looks to be right along the border of both provinces.
