August 22, 2012 — A "fall-like pattern" that was affecting southern Ontario in recent days has made way for warmer temperatures and the return of humidity.

After dipping below seasonal values over the last week or so, temperatures are heating up once again in southern Ontario.

"We're looking hot and sunny weather through the rest of the week and into the weekend," says Monica Vaswani, a meteorologist at The Weather Network.

Temperatures are forecast to soar into the upper twenties in the city of Toronto over the next couple of days. Factor in the humidity, and it will be feeling more like the low to mid thirties.

The return of the heat and humidity comes after a "fall-like pattern" affected the province for more than a week. Temperatures were below the seasonal average, and night-time lows were into the teens, and single digits, in some cases.

Conditions will be great for checking out the CNE and other events happening across the province.
