Heavy snow falling in parts of central Saskatchewan early Monday, prompted Environment Canada to issue a snowfall warning for several communities.
Including in the City of Saskatoon, where over 15 cm of snow has already piled up.
City crews have been working through the night, but the persistent snowfall is making it difficult to keep up.
Officials are warning drivers to avoid travel in and around Saskatoon as slippery intersections have lead to dangerous conditions and several collisions.
It's a similar situation in Kindersley and North Battleford, where travel advisories were also issued early Monday morning.
Motorists are urged to adjust their driving habits and check the road and highway conditions before heading out.
The snow is expected to gradually taper across the province through the day on Monday.
