Kim MacDonald has been with The Weather Network for 14 years
Each year, the Toronto Sun readers vote on a slew of categories in and around the Greater Toronto Area -- ranging from their favourite place to eat, to their favourite attraction and, of course, on their favourite weather personality.
The votes have officially been cast and tallied, and this year, The Weather Network's, Kim MacDonald, was honoured with a silver for 2012's Readers Choice Favourite Weather Personality.
"Not since Elizabeth Manley has a Canadian been more excited about winning silver, than this girl" said MacDonald, beamingly.
MacDonald made her debut in May 1998, the first day The Weather Network began broadcasting nationally from its new home in Mississauga.
"[It] is such a nice honour that people would vote me as one of their favourites," said MacDonald.
This year marked the 19th edition of the Toronto Sun Readers' Choice Awards. For the complete list of all the winners, head to TorontoSun.com
