March 5, 2013 — It's clean-up day across parts of southern Manitoba after over 20 cm of snow piled up in some places.

A powerful storm that hit southern Saskatchewan Sunday continued to track into Manitoba through the overnight hours.
The storm is part of the same system that forced RCMP to close down several highways in southern Alberta over the weekend.
Widespread snowfall warnings were issued across southern Manitoba, prompting school closures and bus cancellations.
Places like Brandon saw over 20 cm of snow, while the City of Winnipeg recorded closer to 15 cm.
Road conditions deteriorated quickly resulting in several crashes throughout the day.
A pickup truck and a school bus collided at a railway cross, but there were no passengers on the bus and neither of the drivers were injured.
The storm also downed hydro lines, leaving some residents without power in Winnipeg.
