Heavy rain and several small mudslides prompted a precautionary evacuation for three properties in the Kootenays on Tuesday.
Officials say significant rain in a short period of time affected the Castlegar and Nelson areas, just 150 km south of the deadly landslide from last Thursday.
Officials say some properties reported damage from the minor slides and Highway 3A was briefly closed as a precaution as well.
Meanwhile, recovery crews continue to search through debris at Johnsons Landing for any signs of the remaining two victims. One rescue team leader described the scene as complete devastation saying he's never seen any destruction like this before.
Two bodies were recovered earlier this week and crews continue their search.
