After a brief reprieve earlier on Thursday, the rain is once again coming down in Newfoundland.
The province has pretty much been getting drenched all week. In fact, the heavy rain even led to some localized flooding in some places. One of the main roads in Hampden was completely washed away. There were no immediate evacuations, but officials are said to be keeping an eye on the situation.
Now that it's Sunday, people in Newfoundland will get another good shot of rain. Still, that's not all they have to look out for.
“We're looking at sustained winds around 20 to 40km/h in some places,” says Weather Network meteorologist Greg Stephens. “It will be a blustery day.”
If you're in Newfoundland, you'll also want to keep your umbrella around for Monday.
“The unsettled pattern will continue until the start of next week,” says Stephens. However, it's likely to clear up starting Monday evening.
