Precipitation should begin as rain for Nova Scotia late this evening, while places in New Brunswick along the Fundy shores should start off as a rain/snow mix, then light snow as you head into Fredericton. Winds along the shores of Nova Scotia gusting to 50 km/hr later this evening.
Overnight the rain in Nova Scotia slowly becomes mixed with snow, eventually changing to all snow by morning as the low tracks north filtering in colder air. On Sunday the mix changes to primarily snow for most of Nova Scotia, before tapering off to light snow/flurries by evening.
Total snowfall accumulations of 5-15cm are possible from Halifax west to Yarmouth. 10-20 cm is possible south and east of Fredericton along the Fundy shores, through Truro extending into the high lands of Cape Breton.
