November stargazing

November 3, 2012 — While you may have to bundle up this month -- there's plenty to be seen in the November night sky.

Look in the southwestern part of the sky after sunset this month, and you'll be able to see Mars low in the atmosphere.
After Mars sets about an hour after sunset, face east and you'll find Jupiter.
At around 3 a.m., Venus will make an appearance in the same part of the sky.
Saturn, which hasn't been spotted since late September, will also be visible.
By the last day of the month, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, and Spica - the brightest star in the constellation Virgo - will light up the night.
There's lots to see in the November sky, so bundle up and enjoy everything it has to offer!
