Officials repairing damaged portion of Vancouver seawall

Crashing waves and heavy winds were prominent during a late December storm that knocked over stone barriers and caused the ground to sink along a portion of the Vancouver seawall.
Fast forward a few weeks and repair crews have done their best to clean up the mess.
As Brian Quinn of the Vancouver Parks Board explains, most of the damage came from large logs that were swept in from the storm.
As workers put the pieces back together, people are being advised to be careful when they're in the area.
"We've tried to minimize the impact to the people who use the seawall," Quinn says, adding that the new section of the seawall will be able to absorb the impact of even stronger storms.
For now, the damaged seawall serves as a reminder of what a little rain can do.
