We've sorted through the all the footage from the past week in news at The Weather Network and picked our favourites. Here's what made the cut...

  • #5 --Air-lifting flood victims in Sindh, Pakistan. Thousands have been saved by chopper-rescue from the flood-ravaged country. Check out the video to see some amazing rescue footage.
  • #4 -- Floods bulldoze Taitong County, Taiwan. Over 300 mm of rain pummlled the region triggering strong currents.
  • #3 -- Oyen, Alberta gets rocked by thunderstorms. The story of the summer across Canada is the wild weather for the Prairies. And Oyen was no exception when rumbling thunder and hail crashed down on the community.
  • #2 -- Snow-like hail pelts Fort McMurray, Alberta. No, that's not snow, it's hail! Fierce thunderstorms trigger crashing hail in the northern Alberta city.
  • And, finally #1 --Hurricane Earl seizes Nagua, Dominican Republic. Earl is sweeping the Eastern Seaboard, but earlier this week, it whipped through the Caribbean island, triggering massive storm surges and waves.
