Between Christmas Eve and New Year's day, a series of storms that hit Atlantic Canada helped to cancel 14 one-way ferry crossings between North Sydney and Port aux Basques.
Officials says travel advisories have been the norm for the past 10 days as windy conditions continue to challenge ferry services.
On Wednesday, the lunchtime and late evening crossings were cancelled due to high winds. Peak wind gusts close to 80 km/h were recorded throughout the day.
Prior to the latest cancellations, officials at Marine Atlantic say the backlog of passenger and commercial traffic from the holidays had been cleared up.
Marine Atlantic is encouraging travellers to check for regular updates and any travel advisories at www.marine-atlantic.ca.
