Several tornadoes rolled through parts of the U.S. southwest Sunday night.
Thunderstorms brought heavy rain and hail from Florida to Virginia. A tornado was recorded north of Fort Lauderdale.
And it didn't end there.
At least eight tornadoes were spotted along North Carolina's Interstate 85 corridor between Charlotte and Greensboro.
Roofs were ripped off industrial buildings and multiple mobile homes were flipped. Power outages were also reported throughout the state, but because of the multiple bands of storms, numbers have not yet been confirmed.
Strong winds and hail as large as baseballs also accompanied the storm. Residents say the heavy rain made it difficult to judge the situation and asses if anything on their property had been broken or lost.
There have been no reports so far of any major injuries.
