Weather Network's Mark Robinson experiences Exercise Trillium Response

Staff writers

April 5, 2013 — Weather Network's Mark Robinson headed to north of Cochrane, Ontario to embed himself with the Canadian Forces for a few days to document their army exercise called Trillium Response. Take a look at his adventures!

During the last ten years, the bulk of the training for the Canadian military was focused on the Afghanistan environment.

Now that the mission has ended, training is now concentrating on domestic environments such as the Arctic.

Exercise Trillium Response is a large part of that training as it allows the military to understand and work with the Canadian Arctic environment "in the field".

The Weather Network's Mark Robinson had the opportunity to spend a few days with the forces as they went through their drills back in February. Check out the videos to learn more!
