February 21, 2012 — Parts of Ontario could see a mix of wet weather on Tuesday as temperatures fluctuate.

A low pressure system that moved into northwest Ontario Monday brought up to 10 cm of snow to parts of the region. An additional 5-10 cm is forecast to fall throughout the day on Tuesday, bringing potential snowfall totals to 20 cm by the time all is said and done.

Reduced visibility in the northern regions can make for hazardous road conditions, so motorists are urged to drive with caution.

As the low shifts southward, periods of wet snow will transition to rain by late afternoon in the Greater Toronto Area. Temperatures are set to climb to 3 degrees, which is above seasonal for this time of year.

Showers will likely continue for the commute home from work.
