The flood waters have started to reach New South Wales. People are already being evacuated from some of the small towns the water is surrounding.
Flood waters are currently flowing down the river systems and blanketing a lot of grazing and agricultural land.
Farmers and residents in Queensland and New South Wales are worried that the worst is yet to come. Some locals have predicted this to be the biggest flood event this century.
So far, residents have seen about 20 per cent of what's to be expected. Many dams are full to capacity and the surplus of water is being pushed further away every day.
The Queensland floods have already cost over $91 million U.S.
On a positive note, some landowners are seeing this as the most welcoming wet season in years.
