A heavy downpour flooded Australia's South East Queensland Sunday morning.
Travel misery is one way to describe the effects of this flood.
Some people were completely stranded in their vehicles when rising waters surrounded them. So far, 5 rescue operations have been conducted to safely release people from their cars. While most were saved, one 14 year old was taken by the strong currents and drowned.
Local residents say they've never seen anything like this before. Some areas saw around 400 millimetres of rain in only 24 hours.
Relief is on the way. Forecasters say the heaviest downpours are over now.
