More Snow for Southern BC

January 26, 2009 — The lower mainland of BC and Vancouver Island could see up to 15 cm of snow starting overnight Monday with closer to 30 cm for the northern interior.

A Pacific low pressure system is moving onto the coast of BC Monday night and into Tuesday.

Northern BC could see up to 5 cm with the northern interior getting closer to 30 cm. Metro Vancouver could see up to 15 cm of snow over 48 hours Monday night and into Tuesday. Vancouver Island will see slightly less closer to 10 cm of snow before the system moves out late Tuesday.

The snow will not last long with temperatures above freezing Tuesday and warming up throughout the week. Rain is expected on Wednesday.

Warnings are currently in effect across BC.
