Chris St. Clair Discuses Lewis Gordon Pugh's Swim

May 23, 2010 — Lewis Gordon Pugh became the first person to swim the length of the Pumori Lake, under the summit of Mount Everest.

Located 5,300 meters above sea level, the lake is fed by nearby glaciers. The swimmer took the icy plunge in the almost freezing water to draw attention to the issue of climate change and its effects on glaciers. The Weather Network's Chris St. Clair explains why the issue is an important one.
