The CP Holiday Train arrived in Calgary very early Thursday morning. Thursday was like a “break day” for the train and crew as everyone prepares for the big Calgary concert Friday evening.
So not only am I back on solid ground, but I get to experience Calgary for the first time. And don't tell my husband (who was raised in Edmonton and LOVES the Oilers), but I am in love with this city. Calgary is gorgeous, especially with the downtown lit up at night at this time of year.
In the afternoon, I met up with some CP employees at their very cool offices in Calgary. We even took to the streets of Calgary to ask people what kind of weather they wanted to see this winter. (Most people said more Chinooks!)
So it was a fairly quiet day, but I had such a wonderful time. I must say, I'm missing being on the Holiday Train. There's no other feeling like it...and I can't wait to be on-board one last time Friday evening.
