The Gardiner Expressway is open, say local traffic reports.
It was scheduled to reopen on Victoria Day Monday at 8 a.m.
But by Sunday evening, traffic spotters said vehicles were allowed back on the highway.
The Gardiner, one of Toronto's main roads, was closed for much of the holiday long weekend.
The city of Toronto says the Gardiner had to be closed in both directions, and from beginning to end, for annual spring maintenance.
The highway, between Humber River and Carlaw Avenue, was shut down Saturday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police officers have been keeping a close eye on drivers during a Victoria Day long weekend safety blitz.
