The thought of a cruise ship disaster seems unheard of today, as many people see cruising as the perfect get a way. However, on Friday night, a luxury cruise ship ran aground causing the cruise liner to keel over near the coast of Tuscany.

When the ship wreck occurred the weather was reported to be calm but the night time air would have chilled the passengers and water. It was reported that people who jumped into the sea have hypothermia.

Twelve Canadians were onboard the Italian ship and have all been found safe. Three have died and 40 are missing. Rescue teams are still searching the partially sunken ship and surrounding waters.
