A trough of arctic air moving south will meet a Colorado low heading northeastward in Southern Manitoba beginning tonight overnight.
Rain will begin Thursday morning but as cold air moves into the area in the evening and overnight period expect the rain to turn to ice pellets.
By Friday, the ice pellets will change to snow with the potential for significant accumulations.
The snow should tapper off late Friday with 5 - 15cm of snow possible.
Winter Storm Watches are already in effect for parts of Southern Manitoba.
