Known for their comedic antics on the court, the Harlem Globetrotters Basketball team gave fans something else to cheer about yesterday.
They went head to head against their rivals, the Washington Generals, on an ice rink in New York City's Central Park.
It was the Globetrotter's first game ever played on ice, and they came out of it with a win.
'They challenged us to play on the ice,' said Globetrotter Hilite Druton. 'They thought that maybe they would have the upper hand, but they were the ones that were treading on thin ice.'
Wearing custom-made ice cleats, the Globetrotters ran through their usual crowd-pleasing tricks.
The exhibition team showcases basketball skills in more than 100 countries, and are considered goodwill ambassadors to the sport.
