High Temperatures in the Prairies

July 13, 2010 — The Prairies are currently enjoying record breaking temperatures that will continue through the weekend.

Record breaking temperatures have been felt across the Prairies and BC as well. One record went back to 1888. See below for temperatures.

A ridge of high pressure is bringing warm air up from the US. Temperatures in Montana and other mid-west states are also unseasonably high.

The warm weather will continue through the weekend but will be replaced by much cooler temperatures early next week as an arctic high pressure system moves into the area. The contrast in temperatures may be significant.
