March 13, 2010 — The impossible2Possible Twenty10 H20 Initiative is hoping to raise awareness and funding for clean drinking water. Ray Zahab and his partner Kevin Vallely are running between 65 km to 70 km per day for the entire 650 km journey across frozen lake Baikal in Siberia. Here's Ray with how the weather has been affecting his expedition.
Lake Baikal is located in the South of the Russion region of Siberia(between Irkutsk Oblast to the northwest and the Buryat Republic to the southeast, near the city of Irkutsk). It is not only the deepest lake in the world at 1,642 metres, it is also the world's oldest lake at more than 25 million years.
