Top 10 videos of the week: April 21

April 21, 2011 — It's time for our weekly recap of the best videos from the past seven days. Take a look at the top ten videos that made the cut.

We get a lot of footage each week here at The Weather Network, so we decided to share our favourites with you. Here are the weather videos that had people talking in Canada and around the world this week.

  • #10 -- St. Petersburg, Russia. 3 adorable jaguars made their debut at a zoo in Russia. The young jaguars, two of which are spotted and one black, are developing quite quickly and already weigh about two kilograms each.
  • #9 -- Barrie, ON. Evan must have taken one look outside…grabbed his camera…and dove back to bed after seeing all this blowing snow in Central Ontario.
  • #8 -- Frontier, SK. Trevor wasn’t too impressed either with the wintery looking scene outside of his door…
  • #7 -- Fernie, BC. Not everyone is upset by the extended winter! Linda and other skiers at Fernie Alpine resort seemed to be happy with the white blanket covering everything!
  • #6 -- Morris, MB. Colin took to the skies to give us a bird’s eye view of the floods above Morris, Manitoba.
  • #5 -- Inner Mongolia. This is the most serious sandstorm in Inner Mongolia this spring, according to the forecast from local observatory. The whole city was covered with yellow sand and dust. People had to wear masks and scarves to protect themselves from dust.
  • #4 -- Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas. Wildfires that have burned hundreds of thousands of acres in Texas crept closer to the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Tuesday (April 19), razing some upscale homes near a lake and threatening hundreds more homes.
  • #3 -- Tushka, Oklahoma. Check out the multiple tornadoes this man caught on camera! The strongest of the tornadoes in Oklahoma hit Tushka and was rated an EF-3.
  • #2 -- Carlinville, Illinois. It’s that time of year and tornadoes in the US is dominating our Top 10 this week. Amazing video of a tornado spawned by a supercell outbreak across Missouri and Illinois…
  • And finally, #1 -- Raleigh, North Carolina. The camera person in this video got up close and personal with the tornado and the shrapnel that follows it…

Those are videos ten through one for this week. Don't forget to tune in to The Weather Network on TV every Friday morning for our weekly roundup of the top weather videos of the week.
