Top 10 videos of the week: November 4

November 4, 2011 — It's time for our weekly recap of the best videos from the past seven days. Take a look at the top ten videos that made the cut.

We get a lot of footage each week here at The Weather Network, so we decided to share our favourites with you. Here are the weather videos that had people talking in Canada and around the world this week.

  • #10 -- Southern Chile. The Hudson Volcano sits just 15 km from the Pacific coast. It last erupted in 1991, but this week, it started venting gas and steam. People in the area were asked to leave their homes.
  • #9 -- Cold Lake, AB. Snow wasn’t only in the northeastern part of North America this week. And like most dogs, this little one seemed to love being outside.
  • #8 -- Elmsdale, NS. Little Gage just can’t go to bed until he dances to the local forecast. We’re sure he’s a future Weather Network presenter or music composer.
  • #7 -- Takeo Province, Cambodia. These leopard sisters were saved from the massive floodwaters by a fisherman. He’s been taking care of them ever since and plans to donate them to the local zoo.
  • #6 -- Dawson Creek, BC. Wade was at his uncle’s this week and captured this time lapse video of the Aurora Borealis. Thanks for sending it into us.
  • #5 -- Halifax, NS. Chelsea stayed a safe distance away and she shot this video of the huge surf stirred up by this weekend’s Nor’Easter.
  • #4 -- Fredericton, NB. Areas of New Brunswick saw either rain, or as this video shows, snow.
  • #3 -- Northeastern US. It didn’t matter if you were on the roads or trying to get in the air, a massive snowstorm brought the northeastern US to a standstill.
  • #2 -- Waterloo, ON. These pumpkins were blown up in the name of science. The dangers of pressurized gases was put on display in quite a unique way in Waterloo, Ontario back on Hallowe’en.
  • #1 -- Barry, Wales. Now this is the definition of a cliff hanger. This cliff collapsed at a vacation resort in Wales this week. No one was hurt and clearly the owners of the resort are moving those trailers to a safer place.

Those are videos ten through one for this week. Don't forget to tune in to The Weather Network on TV every Friday morning for our weekly roundup of the top weather videos of the week.
