Top 10 videos of the week: October 28

October 28, 2011 — It's time for our weekly recap of the best videos from the past seven days. Take a look at the top ten videos that made the cut.

We get a lot of footage each week here at The Weather Network, so we decided to share our favourites with you. Here are the weather videos that had people talking in Canada and around the world this week.

  • #10 -- Sydney, Australia. Three rare Sumatran tiger cubs went on display for the first time at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, this week.
  • #9 -- Cancun, Mexico. Check out the contrast between the azure seas and the ominous clouds of the tropical system named Rina.
  • #8 -- Gander, NL. Weíre glad Debbie in Gander, Newfoundland didnít run back to bed after seeing the snow piling up in her yard. Thanks for shooting it.
  • #7 -- Denver, Colorado. Denver is no stranger to snow, but the city was basking in temperatures reaching the high 20s earlier in the week. This must have come as a bit of a surprise.
  • #6 -- The Aurora Borealis. Eyes were on the skies this week as many viewers captured the spectacular colours of the Aurora Borealis.
  • #5 -- Lower Island Cove, NL. Back to Newfoundland where we see waterfalls being blown up in the strong winds.
  • #4 -- Arizona. Rain on your wedding means good luck, but what does a dust storm mean? Hereís hoping that this couple find out itís good luck too.
  • #3 -- Dublin, Ireland. Ireland is known for rain, but this much rain is almost unbelieveable.
  • #2 -- Brugnato, Italy. Rain has also been a problem in parts of Italy. Rushing rivers left cars stacked on top of each other and others stuck in the mud.
  • #1 -- Ercis, Turkey. A devastating earthquake on Sunday has caused much heartbreak in Turkey, but this little two week old baby being rescued from the rubble was the bright spot of the week.

Those are videos ten through one for this week. Don't forget to tune in to The Weather Network on TV every Friday morning for our weekly roundup of the top weather videos of the week.
