December 30, 2010 — Patches of dense fog, freezing drizzle and snow might hamper driving conditions Thursday throughout southwestern Ontario.

Rain is forecast through Friday and Saturday.

“As low pressure moves into northwestern Ontario, warm fronts will be pushing through southern Ontario with scattered freezing drizzle, light rain and scattered snow showers,” says The Weather Network meteorologist Brian Dillon. He said these conditions should persist through Thursday night and into Friday morning.

From London to Montreal, drivers can expect icy overpasses and fog, as moisture in the warm air meets the cold temperature on the ground. The foggy conditions are pushing into cottage country Thursday afternoon, as they slowly dissipate.

“Ahead of the warm front, dense fog will be in the area in the afternoon and evening hours,” Dillon said.“Mild temperatures will follow with temperatures above seasonal Thursday, Friday and early Saturday for parts of southwestern Ontario,” he said.
