The system that brought a mix of winds, rain and snow to Ontario has now moved into parts of the Maritimes and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Along with a rain and snow mix, the region also saw intense windy conditions.
Winds gusted up to 70 km/h in Halifax. However, they should diminish in the overnight hours.
Rain showers were predominant throughout Sunday in the Maritimes. This system is expected to move into Newfoundland by late afternoon. As the rainshowers taper off, some parts will have received up to 30 mm of rain.
Labrador is expected to see an accumulation of up to 30cm of snow.
“But this is not a big deal,” says Brian Dillon, a meteorologist at The Weather Network. “Labrador has seen snow even in June.”
