Winter festival season is upon us, and what better way to enjoy them than with the family. It's an extra-long weekend for many Ontario residents, so we cooked up some ideas on how to get your kids outdoors and having fun.
If you're in the Ottawa region, why not head out to Winterlude? The province's biggest event of the season is now in its' second weekend. Some of the highlights of this weekend will include a live ice sculpture demonstration, an ice carving challenge and movie night on a giant snow screen. Of course, you can also lace up your skates and cruise down the Rideau Canal. While you're at it, why not enjoy a tasty beaver tail?
Have a need for speed? If you're in the Barrie area, you can check out the Royal Distributing Cup at Georgian Downs.
And if you and your family plan on hitting the slopes this weekend, there are some great deals and exciting activities taking place at both Horseshoe Valley and Blue Mountain.
